What are common classifications of basin faucets

Basin faucets can be classified based on various factors, including their design, installation type, handle configuration, and functionality. Here are some common classifications of basin faucets:

    Design:
Single-Hole Faucet: These faucets require a single mounting hole in the sink or countertop. They typically have a single spout and a single handle or touchless sensor for controlling water flow and temperature.
Centerset Faucet: Centerset faucets feature a single unit with a spout and two handles (one for hot water and one for cold water) mounted on a deck plate. The deck plate covers three mounting holes in the sink or countertop.
Widespread Faucet: Widespread faucets consist of separate components for the spout and handles. The spout and handles are mounted individually and are connected by flexible hoses. They require three separate mounting holes, allowing for more flexibility in placement.

    Installation Type:
Deck-Mounted Faucet: These faucets are installed directly on the sink or countertop. They require pre-drilled holes or can be mounted using a deck plate that covers the mounting holes.
Wall-Mounted Faucet: Wall-mounted faucets are installed on the wall above the basin or sink. They require plumbing connections to be run through the wall, and the water lines are concealed within the wall.

    Handle Configuration:
Single Handle: Faucets with a single handle control both the water flow and temperature with a single lever or knob. They provide convenience and ease of use, allowing for quick adjustment of water temperature and flow.
Double Handle: Faucets with double handles have separate handles for hot and cold water. The handles are typically located on either side of the spout, allowing for individual control of water temperature.

    Functionality:
Standard Faucet: Standard basin faucets offer basic functionality, allowing control of water flow and temperature.
Touchless or Sensor-Activated Faucet: These faucets use infrared sensors to detect hand movements and automatically activate the water flow. They provide a hygienic and convenient solution, particularly in public or high-traffic areas.
Waterfall Faucet: Waterfall faucets feature a unique design where water cascades over the edge of the spout, resembling a waterfall. They offer an elegant and visually appealing water flow.
