Choosing a Lavatory Faucet

Lavatory faucets are a constant fixture in bathroom designs. Because they are so often used, it is important to choose a faucet that is durable and will last. Also, choose a faucet that fits the design of your sink.
There are three main types of lavatory faucets. These include single hole, widespread, and centerset. All have unique features and benefits. The most common type is the single hole faucet. This style has one knob and can come with an optional escutcheon plate.
Widespread faucets are the next most popular style. These faucets can be installed in eight or 16 inches on center. They have a spout that is high enough to reach the middle of the sink basin.
Lavatory faucets are also a popular choice. They have handles and a spout mounted in a single unit. They are a popular choice because they can fit into almost any bathroom. If you have a larger bathroom, then a widespread or centerset faucet might be better for you.
Single hole faucets are easy to install. A single hole installation allows for precise temperature control and volume adjustment. Most often, a single knob is used, although many faucets are available with two separate controls.
Wall-mount faucets can be mounted on the wall or on a sink deck. In addition to providing a stylish look, they free up space in your vanity.
